1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Career Copilot ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Career Copilot is an AI-powered career acceleration platform that provides ATS resume scoring, resume tailoring, job description analysis, and interview preparation tools. The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze and optimize your job application materials.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password to register.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.

4. Credits & Payments

Career Copilot operates on a credit-based pricing model. Credits are required for premium features like ATS scoring and resume tailoring.
New users may receive complimentary credits upon sign-up.
Purchased credits are non-transferable and tied to your account.
Prices are listed in INR and may be updated with prior notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our written consent.
Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
Submit content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Career Copilot — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI models — are the exclusive property of Career Copilot and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your resume data and uploaded content remain your property.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, scores, and tailored content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated output may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before using it in job applications. Career Copilot does not guarantee employment outcomes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Career Copilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or job opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
